The area is quiet, there's a Waffle House next door. Parking is adequate for the number of rooms, it appears. You can do a lot worse for the money.
Stayed here to move our daughter into her first year of college. Wish they had queen beds instead of double beds but they were comfy. Always love hotels with free breakfast! Helps a family budget work better. Close enough to Vanderbilt if you have a car. Outdoor pool with view of parking lot ... I'd stay here again. Edit added - My duffle bag was forgotten in the parking lot when we loaded the car. We doubled back before heading home w/crossed fingers that it was still there. Fortunately the staff saw it and retrieved it and held it for me behind the desk. They searched it trying to find a phone #. Nothing was missing. I was so grateful! True customer service.
In this price range you don't expect bedspreads to be washed, and they aren't, as far as I can tell. One has pink stains on it. They are at least something cotton-like,to and not cheap polyester. I checked for bedbugs before settling in - no evidence of them on the mattresses. The room is damp, but that's typical in this range. It smells a bit bad, like faint smoke and body odor, which is why I have the door propped open as I write this. The decor and carpet are new and nice looking; the beds were narrow (not queen) but comfortable. The wall unit is the most quiet AC I've ever encountered, a definite plus. The sink doesn't drain easily; I had to unscrew the stopper. Shower is nice and strong. The breakfast is much more than "continental" - it includes hard boiled eggs and make-your-own waffles, and the eating area is clean and attractive. The coffee comes from a machine but actually is ok, I've had worse!
We didn't appreciate the loud party (a big one) around the pool last night, which was going strong well after 10pm but it most likely comes with the price range in a nightlife town on a weekend.
My main helpful criticism is that the facilities are in rough shape. Peeling paint, rusty rails... and the pool is full of cigarette ashes and butts. My brave son swam in it anyway yesterday, even though the water was very, very cold (5 feet at the deepest point, most areas 3 feet, sunny only in the morning due to facing East.)
Very decent, discount hotel. Pretty convenient to everything in Nashville (we used Lyft in and out of downtown). It's an older hotel, but the rooms are nice and have been remodelled and are up to date. Breakfast was standard fare but food. The staff was phenomenally nice and accommodating. Oh, and there's a brand new Waffle House pretty much right on the property! Nice for the late night post-party. :)
The staff are pleasant and helpful. The location is convenient. We went to the Zoo (very close) and downtown (an easy commute.) The staff even gave my son a cookie when they found out it was his birthday.
Good value for $, comfy beds, great breakfast, great location. Loud at night on weekend. Long version: I paid a hundred more than "typical" since I needed this room on short notice and on a weekend. Had I paid their usual rate (under a hundred) I'd have found this place a good value for the money so I'm reviewing it as if I paid the typical rate.
This was the second La Quinta I stayed at on my trip. It was better than the first but not as good as the third. Free breakfast, a bed to sleep on and a television for background noise. I didn't expect a five star hotel. I got what I expected which was a friendly staff and a good night sleep. The room was clean and there were no dead bodies. All in all. It was fine. Would stay there again. Plus it's only a few minutes away from The Pharmacy, which has the best burgers I've ever eaten.
Thank you to such a wonderful staff. We are truck drivers and carry cash a lot. This place was the only one willing to work with us and customer service goes a long way. Room was great and our dog loved it! We will be back just because of the respect they had for us as truck drivers!!! Plus, the Waffle House next door was the best place!! Clean and friendly staff who cared about their customers!!
