The biggest con is the terrible customer service. From the moment you arrive the staff seems to be trying to be as rude as possible. The main problem I had was trying to get my belongings back.
We requested non-smoking and the room had a very strong stale smoke smell.
Pros - Good weekly rate, $260 with all fees, in cash.
We told the person / manager working at the front office and all he did was apologize half heartedly. He did not appear concerned and did not offer any incentive to return to this hotel.
The bed linen was dirty and did not look as if it had been changed. We had to take it to the laundry to exchange for clean linen.
The rooms here are very hit or miss it seems. The first room I was placed in was pretty gross and had stains on the carpet and a weird smell of smoke that was pretty disgusting. I spoke with the front desk and they moved me to a cleaner room which was much more manageable. I only gave it 3 stars because of the new room. The old room would have easily been 0 stars.
When I got back there no one would help me find my belongings. The front desk clerk called housekeeping a few times, but they never answered or called back. He then contacted the manager who couldn't be bothered helping me. He first said come back in two days, then said they didn't have my belongings and couldn't help me.
Cons - The hotel is being renovated. The room they gave me hadn't been renovated and needed to be.
If you don't know the signs of bed bugs and cockroaches don't bother you, then stay here. Newly remodeled but still disgusting. Walked in, was anticipating both these things. didn't see much. Did a mattress check, found bed bug poop marks on the mattress as well as a small dead one along the seam. That was the the straw, honestly. Then as we discussed the plan I see this fancy motel cockroach behind my boyfriend. NOPE! They were very quick to give a refund of our $250+ dollar a night fee. I was told this is the first compliant and by some of the reviews, I know it's not. It was literally the only place to stay within an hour of Nashville, we left, rented a car and drove an hour to not stay at this gross place.
Nice clean room, very courteous staff at a great price. Close to Broadway & the stadiums. Nice selection for a continental breakfast. Great place to stay while visiting Nashville.
The new room wasn't super nice by any means, but it was relatively clean and smelled fine. Due to other reviews of bed bugs I stripped and checked the whole mattress and saw no trace of any bugs. For the price it was basically what you would expect.
I had international travelers and we were very disappointed in this hotel. We chose it because we had to keep costs down due to exchange rate. It was the most expensive of all the hotels on our trip and by far the worst.
On a Saturday when I was scheduled to renew my stay I had to go to the hospital. I called the front desk and they said they would put my things in storage.
At this point the front desk clerk was actually getting angry that I was still there and wouldn't leave(it had been about 2 hours). I told him my next step was to contact the police and I did.
Fifteen minutes later, someone was suddenly there to help me. After some failed attempts he realized my belongings where still in my room where I had left them. They had never moved them but instead had marked my account overdue pending my return to pay for the room.
I got my things and left. I am sure if I hadn't gotten all my belongings that day they would have been thrown out or sold(they included a laptop).
