Everything was fine and according to what is expected of a Courtyard, however, there were very high and undue charges to my credit card, at the end of my stay. I had to talk to the hotel several times from Mexico, because they did not find my name and bank details on their records ¡¿?!. The same thing happened to my travel colleague. We both paid in advance in Mexico for our entire stay.
The room was a king bed with a couch and I mean the bed was the most comfortable bed I've experienced out of all the hotels I've stayed at. The staff was friendly and customer service oriented just as you would expect out of any Marriott property. Indoor pool with a whirlpool. Will definitely recommend this property to anyone. Only 2 things were wrong with the place. The coffee and the shower head, sorry
My daughter and I booked this hotel with a special deal called retail therapy. We got to the hotel and we were told that they do not know anything about it. So we call the online booking to talk to them thinking they have to send us the $40 in Visa cards. 1 $20 visa for each day we stay and 2 Starbucks coffees for each day. The girl we talked to said the hotel is supposed to provide the Visa's and the coffee to us, so she opened a claim ticket and the next morning we called the front desk they said they have everything figured out and to come down to the front desk. We did and they did have the 2 Visa's $20 each. However they didn't know anything about the 4 Starbucks coffees. So my daughter thought we should read our booking email again and we went to the front desk the next day (because we had plans for the day). We were told again they know nothing about it. We showed them the email confirmation telling what the terms were. So finally we were given 2 coupons for the bistro in their hotel for drip coffee only. They did sell Starbucks coffee there. Which we had to use right then as we were checking out that morning. That being said. The room was clean and comfortable. There were a few things not ok in the room, outlets with no coverings (code violation) and the light shade was broken. Bigger issues,the pool was freezing and the hot tub was cold. There was no way to turn up the heat. We book hotels with pools because we really enjoy swimming or setting in the hot tubs. So that was a big disappointment. We would not stay at this location again.
Staff were nice. Room was modern and large. We were attending a wedding at the Gaylord but missed the wedding block and couldn't afford the regular prices. This was a reasonably priced alternative because there's a free shuttle between hotels that runs pretty frequently.
I booked directly on Marriott's website and selected a promotion called Retail Therapy. I was supposed to receive a gift card and Starbucks coffees at check in. The person checking me in was unaware of this promotion, told me they don't give out gift cards, and finally recommended that I talk to the manager in the morning. I called the customer service line when I got to my room, they put me on hold and tried to reach the management at the hotel. Finally having to open an issue for me because no one could be reached. In the morning I visited the front desk again and was given the gift card only and was told they didn't know anything about the Starbucks coffees. After reviewing my confirmation email I stopped back at the front desk before we finished checking out of our room the next day and they gave us only a coupon for a drip coffee, which was not what was offered in the promotion and he registered it to a different room number. When I asked about it, he said it would be fine. When we tried to redeem it was even more hassle because of it being registered under a different room number. The pool was ice cold, the hot tub was lukewarm at best. Our room was clean but was missing a plate cover for over the outlets. I would choose a different hotel based on the fact that the hotel staff didn't seem to care about the hassle they put on the consumer to redeem a promotion they offered.
