Reservation process was easy and the counter agent at BNA was friendly and helpful. I reserved a full size SUV and agent said that would be a Sequoia, however for no extra charge he said we could rent a Suburban. When we went out to the garage there was not a Suburban to be found and the garage employee offered no assistance. We also requested a car seat, which the employee handed us with no instructions on how to install. I understand there is a liability issue and that the employee could not install for us, but written instructions would have helped.
The car I rented was fine, but the check in process was not. After waiting in line to complete the paperwork, I went to the location to get the car, but there was no one there. Seven of us were waiting, but, when no one showed up. After 15 minutes, I went to a competing rental car company to ask them to call inside to get someone. That individual was able to assign all of us a vehicle. When checking out of the parking garage, I nicely informed the person at the checkout point that no one was there, so he may want to let his supervisor know. He said it was "not his job". Major attitude from him when I was trying to help...I'm confident he did nothing...disappointed in the lack of basic service from Alamo on this trip...
Think this will be the last time I rent from Alamo.
Kudos to the Alamo employee named Herman who helped load our bags into our rental vehicle. He offered us bottled water and was just about the friendliest person I’ve ever met. Unfortunately I didn’t have any cash on me, didn’t realize there was anyone who would be assisting with bags, otherwise I would have given him a tip. A truly exceptional customer service experience.
When we went to pick up the rental Herman helped us out and I have to say he was absolutely wonderful to work with. I asked for a challenger since it is one of my favorite cars and he had one pulled around for us. He had a great attitude, he helped with our luggage, and just overall made it a great experience getting the rental car. The 2018 challenger we were given is really nice as well.
We were greeted with a friendly smile and great service by Herman! He was a delight! Best customer service and Positive attitude and very helpful. Check out was easy and our automobile was clean and fresh. The gentlemen in the check out booth greeted us with a friendly smile. The process was smooth and fast! Great employees!
My boyfriend and I flew in from Alaska, where we live, to Nashville to visit my family here. When we got in, the first employee we came into contact with inside the airport wasn’t too pleasant to work with.
We went with a sports car from Alamo because of the nice price.
Employees need to be aware of customer needs and state of mind after a day of travel and perhaps offer a bit more in terms of customer service. For what we paid for a 4 day rental, we expected more.
