Enjoyed our stay at the Gaylord Opryland Resort. Room was beautiful and very spacious. The desk clerk Hannah, was very nice and helpful during our check-in. The Murphy bed was very comfortable. My only complaint is cost of food. We spent $49 on breakfast alone! All I was able to eat from the buffet was oatmeal and fruit...vegetarian. Yes, the restaurants are way too expensive for what they offer.

They nickel and dime you for EVERYTHING. Parking $29, room fee $20, taxes are crazy, restaurants are above average $$$$ rooms with a view, EXTRA. Water park wasn't open yet so that may a good attraction for kids but I'm sure there will be $$$'s for that as well.

Visiting the hotel especially around Christmastime is such a beautiful experience. It's a massive place with cool little shops and restaurants and may take at least a couple hours to see it all. During Christmas they decorate it with millions of lights and it's so bright that you can't help get in the holiday spirit. There are a few activities going on too on site. It's family friendly, couples friendly, or if you just want to go for a long stroll... this is a cool spot.

If you are coming for a view stay away from m2120, billed as a room to enjoy the lights of the nativity, it was a view of the utilities. Kept the window closed as there were no more rooms available at the inn - so to speak. If you came for the experience elsewhere, well done!!! Beautiful lights and layout. If you came for the food stay away from the Jack Daniels restaurant. Merry Christmas
