What can I say about the people that run Elm Hill Marina and recreation area , that the local people and tax payers don't already know? They closed one launch ramp to the public (tax payer) and now charge in excess of $8 each launch at the other. Just a few years ago both ramps were open to all tax payers free of charge as long as you had your boat registered with the TWRA ($25) per year average coast. As a Donelson resident who was around before the Dam was constructed, I am disgusted to see how the public has been robbed of our rightful access to these parks by greedy private industry. They have raped the natural beauty by clearing hundreds of century old trees to make way for the eye sore, privately ran , RV park. Tax payer dollars still continue to pay the majority of daily operations of J. Percy Priest reservoir by way of the Army Corp of Engineers and TWRA as well as the counties and municipalities that it occupies. Don't support those who are charging you for your right to enjoy what you've already paid for.
Beautiful RV Park with gated access to the lake view sites. The sites are all back-in but can accomodate a 40 footer. Eazy to get to I-40 and enjoy all that Nashville has to offer. Not the cheapest option around, but a good option if lake views are VIP to you.
We really enjoyed camping at this location! Right on Percy Priest Lake and enjoyed a very beautiful lake view in the morning to have coffee with! Enjoyed walking our dogs around the campground and the area outside of the campground! We will definitely come back!
Great place to hang out during the summer.
great locations and kept up nice and clean
