There are several audio and video exhibits, as well memorabilia from Cash's days in the Army in Germany, to his size 14 boots. There's a gift shop and cafe on the premises

The ticket queue was extraordinary long, BUT the cashier in our line took 15+ minutes to process one customer. Once in the "museum" the packed line moved 10 feet in 20 minutes. We left, as we were not up to spending 4 to 5 hours in a cattle line. I am sure it is a wonderful museum, but there must be some way to manage capacity. What if there were a fire? My recommendations would be to go when you can see uncrowded conditions. I'm sure I would give it a 4 or 5 star rating, but I gave a 1 to get your attention with a warming.

We were tipped to this by a guide we met during a walking tour of Nashville. You do not need to be a Johnny Cash fan to appreciate all this museum has to offer. Through Cash's life story, you get an appreciation for how one musician became an iconic country and western legend. You learn how Cash's rise from an unknown, making it to the top, in some ways reflects the rise in popularity of this genre: especially when it peaked on Network TV, way before cable.

Love it IF you like or even remotely curious about Johnny Cash. Museums showcases his work and when we were there, his brother Tommy welcomed us. Cafe is nice though food choices could be better. There’s no parking so plan ahead. Go to Patsy Kline’s museum after you visited this since it’s in the same building.

It's a great museum but whitewashes Cash's life. Nothing was mentioned about his lifelong addictions and run ins with the law (hence the outlaw persona). That being said, what is there is very well organized. One of the few music museums actually worth the money to see.

Here's Johnny. If you like museums you will love this place with room after room dedicated to the man in black. A five star masterpiece to Nashville's country skyline. And Patsy Cline is in the same building
