I really enjoyed our Studio B tour (being an Elvis fan, it was pretty cool to stand in the studio where he recorded many of his greatest hits). The museum was awesome as well, a must-see for all country music fans.
Worth the price for sure. You get your money's worth
Awesome museum! It was great to see the timeline of our country began and what it’s become today. They do regularly change exhibits so you can visit several times a year. How about the fun and would enjoy going back again later on in the year.
I am not a country music fan but thought the museum was a great experience regardless of your musical preferences. It covers everything from the history of "country music" to memorabilia from popular artists and even some interactive exhibits. Definitely fun for all ages.
So much to see and the tour was really good. First time we were here we did the self-guided tour. You can go your own pace and stop and rest any time. We also took the Studio B tour this time. You really leave with a new outlook on Country Music. Very informative tour and worth the money. You can't possibly see everything of interest in Nashville in one trip. But this is one stop you don't want to miss.
Probably can see the majority of museum in 1-1.5 hours no problem. Even if you read most of the info graphics maybe stretches to 2-3. I really like that you can exit and re-enter throughout the entire day so go early, take a break and come back for more! When I visited I was able to use my admission ticket to go to the Frist art center for free which was interesting to see and a cool freebie.
If you love music, especially country music, this place is awesome. There were so many neat things to see whether it was outfits, cars, or the highlighted exhibits. You learn a lot too while you go through. I really enjoyed my time here. I did the Studio B combo with this. It was worth every penny. There is so much to see here, you can spend a whole afternoon there so make sure you have time, and take your time. You don't want to miss out on any of the super cool stuff.
I was pleasantly surprised by how interesting the historical storyline of the content was. Also, if you are looking for more authentic experience do the RCA tour where you get to see the famous recording studio and learn more first hand. It is incremental cost I think was $40 for both museum and additional tour.
If you don't like country music or history however, this isn't the place for you. I also wouldn't recommend it as a "family" outing with the kids, but that's just my opinion. It took us a little over 2 hours at least to go through the whole thing, and we didn't even read/see all of what they had.
