I love this place! The staff is super helpful, they've got awesome concessions, and the theatre is comfortable and the picture and sound are top notch. It's the perfect place to catch that indie film you've been wanting to see.
I enjoy the vibe. The popcorn is just delicious. And I love the indie films that play on Belcourt's screens.
Great theater to see a cool movie!
Wonderful experience for my first visit. I went to a Thursday matine. The audience was quiet the theater very nice and upscale. Great concessions including beer and wine selections. Parking seemed to be plenty for that showing on that day, but I can see how it could be limited in the evenings and on weekends.
Watched Loving Vincent in the upstairs theater. It was fantastic. Staff here are friendly, and awesome!
I take personal offense any time someone who's lived here for years tells me that they've never been. Whether you're looking for great independent/foreign films, the experience of watching some schlock with a group of like-minded individuals, or a classic film you never had the opportunity to see on the big screen (especially if it predates your birth), The Belcourt consistently has the most eclectic programming of any cultural institution in the city, and that is why it is easily my favorite.
