Staff has completely changed. Very friendly, great service. Love the girl with the long blond frizzy hair.
Love the tea, but the staff withhold information and try to rush you through the check out line in order to trick you into spending more money. Be wary and ask the person helping you to slow down.
While not a tea drinker myself, I have been generally pleased with the level of service here. The selection of items as well as teas seems to be excellent, and the staff have a great understanding of the products.
Absolutely the worst shopping experience I have ever had. I went to the store for the first time a couple of months ago. First of all let me say that Teavana's Herbal teas are the best commercial ones Ive ever had. I lead a horrendously busy life and have not had the land or time to grow and make my own for years. I was ecstatic to find these. I do not like their black teas. I do like the whites and the reds there though no where near as good as the herbals, nor as other companies like Mighty Leaf. My first shopping experience the manager at the Nashville store agressively jumped on me as soon as I walked in the store. I did not hesitate to state I would ask when I needed her help. She spoke right over me and continued on again. I raised my voice a bit and again stated I would ask for help when I needed it. A customer she seemed to know came in and she left. Yesterday, March 22nd 2013, I took my best friend who was in visiting for my birthday. We were having a girl day with my 18 year old daughter. My friend, who is not normally a tea drinker, tried my Rasberry Riot Lemon Mate tea the night before and loved it. We drove almost an hour to take her to this store to get her some tea and a nice tea infuser cup. We walked in to the store and AGAIN this same manager attacked us. She never shut up. No matter how I tried to make her go away she would not. She was so aggressive we couldnt even take the time to look at the things even SHE was showing us because she was onto the next most expensive item to sell. It was so bad my friend quietly left the store. I tried to politely finish my purchase of her tea and tea set. Even this was difficult due to the woman in question deliberately putting more tea in than i asked for. I had to MAKE her remeasure twice because she kept putting more in to my bags. I am not even the one to care if lunch meat or something is a little over, however, I was trying samples and I saw her on three teas deliberately put in EXACTLY .5 OZ. That doesn't sound like much but in reality on some of these teas this is 5-8 dollars. I left the store furious and gave my bags to my daughter. I had noticed that for once there was no one else in that store. I then went back in and told this woman how miserable she had made our experience. I told her she had ruined the entire thing for us. In addition, I let her know that I would have likely spent much more in her store if it had not been such a bad experience and that I would not be back strictly because of her.
I love Teavana, but the sales team here are an aggressive bunch, especially the skinny girl with dark hair, she would push products yet would not tell you the price. I had to return a bag at another store just coz a small bag of green tea was $72 dollars when I can get it at the Japanese Market for $15. Beware of this store.
