It was our 2nd anniversary, and we decided to celebrate it at Valentino's because it boasts a romantic, quiet, and up-scale environment. When we arrived, the staff was extremely attentive, talkative, and friendly. Service and food was amazing. However, about 45 minutes into our visit right about the time our food came up - a group of about 8 dudes wearing t-shirts and shorts strolled in. They sat right in the middle of the area at a large table and started ordering wine and beers. Not 15 minutes later, they are all laughing, yelling, and talking so loud you couldn't even hear yourself talk. But that wasn't the worst of it. They were so loud, you could hear their entire conversation about how many b#####s they've banged and how many cougars they hunt before filling up their "bag limits." Yeah, nice innuendo - they thought it was hilarious. My wife was extremely uncomfortable and it took all I had to not get up and confront them, because Valentino's staff literally did nothing. This is supposed to be an up-scale joint - not a beach bungalow sports bar where mid-30's losers can walk in and brag about their glory days screwing wh####. Yes, it was extremely vulgar, you can't make this stuff up. We were not the only table upset by this. There was a family next to us, an elderly couple in the corner behind them, and they were all staring at them like "what the heck!" Staff did nothing. We finished our dinner, and left disgusted. As we were walking out, the entire table of "glory day boys" literally stared my wife up and down drooling on themselves. I've been to many upscale restaurants, and this kind of behavior is not tolerated. In fact, I've seen restaurants kick patrons out for this kind of stuff. People don't come to an up-scale restaurant to spend $250 on a meal just to listen to how some washed up loser banked 5 chicks in one week while the staff just acts dumbfounded and does nothing. Total disgrace. As we left, I called management from my cell phone and expressed my dissatisfaction. They literally ruined our anniversary dinner. Couldn't hear anything. They were belligerent, loud, and disrespectful of every other patron in the restaurant. The manager took down my name and number and said the owner would call me right back. Never happened. It's been 24 hours so I'm writing this complaint to warn others - this place is an overpriced rat hole that allows drunk college kids in there without reservation to do whatever they wish. Save yourself the trip, and find a nice up-scale restaurant that takes their reputation seriously. You've been warned.
I cannot say enough about Valentino's.. but I will try! This is both the perfect date night spot and a great place to just relax and have casual drinks. I love taking my girlfriend here for a nice romantic evening downstairs. But sometimes we come here just to hit up the upstairs lounge for some cocktails and music. The service never ceases to amaze me - they are top notch. And the management always makes a point to make sure we are having a great evening. Don't miss out on this great place! Also.. have I mentioned the food? AMAZING.
Fantastic pasta. Prices are high (as expected), but food is definitely worth it. The place is small, so reservations can fill the place up fast!
We came here on 10/21/17 for our final night in Nashville for the Firemans Convention upon recommendation. The staff was very friendly and gave us warm hospitality making us feel like we were at home. The restaurant was very clean and our table in the celar area was cozy. Our waiter was also very kind and also knowledgeable about the menu along with what wines paired well with each meal. He was spot on. Everything from the food to the service was fantastic with reasonable pricing. Cant wait to see you folks next year we will definitely be back!
Delicious warm bread, arugula salad very nice. The fruit di mare was hot, good and packed with seafood
