If you want an authentic Nashville cuisine experience, Edley's is the best bar-none. And that includes Hattie B's!

Wonderful place, just go there, the food and the service are great. I was looking for a restaurant that was open on Thanksgiving Day. Edley's was the only place we found that had any lights on. Although it was closed to the public as they were having a staff party. We didn't know this, but as we walked in to enquire we were invited to come in anyway and to take a table and to help ourselves to food and drink from the buffet table. A beautiful and generous offer. I can't tell you whether it was value for money, but I can tell you it was a wonderful gesture from the owner/manager and a wonderful welcome from his staff, the food was just great as well.

Great BBQ! However, I didn't like the Mac and cheese that much but the other sides are really good. Mac and cheese is baked, but I prefer a much creamier version. Service is great. It can be very crowded here and finding a table can be a challenge. Other than that, it was a really good meal. The BBQ there is truly the star!

Their Hot Chicken is a delcicious contrast between spicy and light tang. Their dishes such as brisket, jalapeno corn bread will never make you feel as if you ate greasy fast-food. This local joint has a poised wait-staff, family-friendly atmosphere, fair prices, and an experience that is Nashville in the utmost sense.

Sick for two days.

The food is however abysmal. Ate at Edley's in East Nashville and received Luke warm meat with a slab of cornbread.

But the generous gesture shows the class of this place. This was my last night in town but I really hope you go because of this review as it's really how good karma works. Thank you ..

In 3 years, I've never had a visitor I didn't take to Edleys 1st.

The one on Murphy Road is a good place to meet mature divorcees.

Some of the best BBQ I've eaten at a restaurant, the fried ribs and brisket were good, the white bbq sauce was used sparingly and the mayo overpowered any flavoring, the sides were potato salad, green beans, and baked beans...they were all amazing. The green beans were just how you want southern green beans to taste. Lots of meat fat flavor, a bit of onion etc. The potato salad was, hands down the best potato salad I've ever eaten. The BBQ sauce on the table was pretty good too, savory, slightly sweet, with a fiery kick that sneaks up on you after a few bites of it. The reason this is getting a 3 star review? The bathrooms. Nasty, nasty, nasty. I've seen truck stop bathrooms cleaner. If this is the same bathroom your employees are using...scary. Clean that up...a restaurant should never have bathrooms that disgusting.
