Third, my cat does not do well with the vet and needs a little sedation to calm him. Well, they completely overdosed him that he still had trouble with balance the next day and he didn't fully recover for 2 days. Not to mention that they used only 1 drug as opposed to a cocktail, which is the preferred.
I took a chance due to economic constraints, though I will not make that decision again. Would not recommend if you truly care about your animal.
I can't say enough about this place! They really went above and beyond for me and my kitties when I got them fixed (I have a boy and girl kitten, 6 months old). I'll start by saying I was skeptical because of the reviews and the 'you get what you pay for' stigma. But I couldn't have been more wrong! The place is super clean, very orderly. It has smelled like it's just been freshly cleaned every time I walk in. The staff is so nice and informative. They answered all of my silly questions and didn't have an attitude like some places do. They made sure to thoroughly explain the after-care process and kept and open door and open phone line for me, just in case! They even called a couple days after to check on them. Most places in Nashville will charge $300 or more to have your kittens fixed and I spent less than $200 for both. Great staff, great quality and great service. This will definitely be my go-to pet place from now on!
Second, she not only drew blood from one leg, but both and 2 vials worth (this was just a regular check up). Not only did she draw from both legs but I actually witnessed her pulling on the plunger over and over to force blood out. I was not happy about this and my cats legs were bruised and tender for some time after.
Where to begin...these people provided us with affordable, compassionate, judgment-free care and advice for our 17-year old pup. They were exactly what we needed, when we needed it to help our aging dog transition gracefully and comfortably to the end of her life. When we finally had to visit an emergency after hours clinic to end her suffering, the incredible employees at Value Vet took the time to send us a heartfelt card expressing their sympathy for our loss. They did not need to do that, but it was such a lovely gesture that helped ease our grief. If we ever decide to adopt a new pet, Value Vet in Bellevue will certainly be our veternarian of choice!
Will never go back again. Not only were they not knowledgeable enough based on their decisions, they both overdosed and caused unnecessary injury to my cat.
The first time, we went in for a standard check-up, and they told me that my dog most likely had a very deadly dog pneumonia, and the only way to solve this was to pay +$300 in testing. When the tests came back, they told us that she didn't have dog pneumonia. The second time (i.e. one month later), I went in because I had to pull a tick out of her ear and noticed she was a bit sluggish and thought maybe she needed some medication. The vet told us that this time we needed to spend +$500 and recommended that we get pet insurance. This time, I refused to pay that much money, and the vet wouldn't let it go. She even threatened that if I didn't pay for all of these "treatments" that our dog would have to be hospitalized. I only took the medication for the tick treatment, used it, and now, my dog is back to normal. Hmmm.
The qualifications of these vets at Value Vet are questionable, and they are clearly out for your money. If you get the Asian woman who just moved here from California, RUN. She will sit you in a room and harass you into paying more money for unnecessary treatments for your dog for an hour. It was a very intimidating experience that I never want to have again. You couldn't pay me to come back to this place.
First, they drew blood from the inner back leg as opposed to the front. The vet's reasoning: she stated that she "has trouble getting a vein on the front leg" (she never tried the front legs, nor did she hit the veins on the first try btw).
The team at Value Vet was awesome!!! I did not have an appointment but they saw the urgency in my Cookie's health. They definitely won my business today. Highly appreciated and impressed.
There are not many things I regret in life, but I do regret going to the Value Vet in Bellevue. Twice. Ugh.
