I tried the "hot" chicken and found it to be spicy but great flavor. I had the pimento mac n cheese and found it to be phenomenal.
Delicious chicken tenders, Mac and cheese is a must have along with seasoned greens!!! I’ve visited twice and both times I had a great experience. My second visit we experienced about 15 minute wait to place our order because they was only running one register for dine in orders; I didn’t understand because there was a person standing at register for pick up orders but wasn’t helping to move the line for dine in orders... we figured they wanted the look of being really busy with the lines out the door for advertising. I’d recommend Hattie B’s.
Came to Nashville and knew I was coming here for lunch. I anticipated a decent wait to get in but found it to be relatively a short wait.

If you are looking for exceptional Nashville-style hot chicken, then come here to this location! The Midtown one is incredible but gets long lines due to the college students. This one has some lines too but hey - it means demand is high. And patience is a virtue people, please wait. Talk to your fellow human beings and look around West Nashville/Sylvan Park. This place makes the chicken to perfection with the cayenne pepper, hot sauce, perfect crunch, soft tender white meat, and incredible spice kick. They have several levels of heat so you can choose how you want it. Sides are quite impressive - my favorites are the black eyed pea salad as well as the greens. The chicken will take you to the moon and back. Be ready for a ride. This place gets 5 stars from me because they take the time to craft every order, spice level and chicken cut type - so everybody can be happy. I love the hot level breast. This food makes your nose runny but for a good reason (not a cold). Tourists - do not leave town without eating here. Try the peach cobbler for dessert; very delicious!
What can I say except that it's the best hot chicken in Nashville! I go there at least twice every time I'm in town, even if it's only a two day trip. I finally went on a Sunday so I could experience the wonder that is hot chicken and waffles. The waffle itself isn't anything extraordinary, but it is quality. But when combined with an order of the medium tenders on top, it becomes something greater than the sum of its parts. The sweet of the syrupy waffle combined with the spice of the chicken does things that other foods can't. If you decide you must have this in your life, prepare for a line out the door on a Sunday. But it's still amazing any other day you go!
So hot it'll burn you twice!! Good fries and greens. The tenders are good. I usually get one extra and plan on a salad or eggs the next day. Super good service even though there aren't dedicated servers. It can get very busy and the line long, but the online ordering is super easy with a little planning which can bypass all of this.
