Third Experience: There was an older gentleman at the bar who was so rude that the other 6 people at the bar ended up leaving, us included. There are only about 10 seats at the bar. The bartender didn't seem to care. I think the two were buddies.
This is the third time I've eaten at Batter'd and Fried. The service is always good, whether you eat inside, or relax on the patio. The waitress helped my daughter with her sushi selections of a Cobra Roll and Green Goddess roll. When they arrived, they were dressed with kiwis and limes. My daughter really enjoyed them! I had beer battered cod - yum! We topped dinner off with Boston Cream Pie, which was not the best I've had, but it wasn't bad! Nice place with good food, and great ambience!
Really fresh, well-cooked seafood options. Have eaten here several times and highly recommend their pasta options as well as the salmon steak. Calamari is a great appetizer here. Their beer selection could use some work, but overall great food and service every single time.
First experience: I called and asked about a specific Boston game I wanted to watch & was advised they would have it on. When we got there, the staff said they only play NE football & Boston baseball & sent us to beyond the edge for other Boston sports games which, in case you didn't know, is a Chicago bar. They didn't play the game for us either.
This place is great! The calamari is delicious and the fish is divine. I've had the fish and chips and the seafood pasta. Definitely the best fish and chips in Nashville. Worth every penny. The seafood pasta was a bit pricey but phenomenal. Highly recommend.
Second experience: I asked if the food we wanted to order was spicy & explained I'm plain old Irish and can't do spicy food at all. They advised us the food was not spicy at all. It was. We ended up getting pizza next door instead.
Great cod and chips! Cathy was our server, and she was quick and attentive. I would definitely return if I were passing through the area again.
If you're from Boston or have ever been to Boston, this is not your bar. It's trying, I'll give them that but, missing the mark. Food is decent. Drinks were decent but definitely very sweet & southern.
