Great local eatery experience. Got fried catfish with mashed potatoes and fried green tomatoes. Probably not a doctor recommended meal but very tasty. Also got chess pie (whatever it means). Maybe a bit too sweet but still good. All for less than $15 and super attentive and nice staff.

I had cherry smoked brisket plus green beans and turnip greens. Corn bread muffin and chocolate chess pie. VERY Satisfied and full

If you want to go truly local this is the place to eat. A Meat & 3 spot

A no-frills cafeteria-style restaurant serving Southern comfort food classics that exceeded expectations. Excellent introduction to meat and three format. Be sure to arrive before noon to beat the large lunch crowd. Service was friendly and efficient. The fried catfish was perfectly seasoned and prepared. The green beans as well as stewed okra sides were not frivolous fillers but tasty accompaniment to a satisfying meal. This is a spot worthy of regular visits to explore the rest of the menu. A local gem!

3. Place. It’s a local eatery so it has that feel. Adds to the overall happiness I had at being here.

4. Customers. Not a tourist trap. Yes there are tourists here but well intertwined with locals.

Amazing country cookin'! This place has some of the best roast beef ever! It is to die for. I have had their brisket, chicken & dressing, chicken & dumplings, liver & onions, turnip greens, green beans, creamed corn, and black eyed peas. All are cooked tremendously well with love, seasoning, and some flare. Staff is extremely nice. The lines move fairly well. This place attracts a great range of people and it's easy to see why. Come check it out! 5 stars

2. Staff? True southern hospitality. Friendly and polite. They want you to like this place and come back. Proud of being here

This place is as country and bare-bones as it gets. It looks like a cafeteria style restaurant with one line where they give you whatever you want to eat. But don’t let that deter you from trying their food, because this is as delicious as it gets! Any other food items are fantastic, but be sure you don’t leave before you have tried their fried green tomatoes or any of their pies. You won’t be disappointed in coming here, but just know that it’s only open around lunchtime!

1. Each days has a variety of meat and veggie specials. One meat plus 1, 2 or 3 veggies. Comes with your choice of bread, including dinner roll or corn bread. Pie is extra and DONT miss out.
