The show was great but the food was certainly not. The performers were fun and upbeat and the audio sounded right on. However, I couldn't stomach the spam-like meat with mystery gravy slathered over it as a meal worthy of digesting. If the food was better, I would highly recommend, but unfortunately that wasn't the case. It made hospital food look appetizing.
The experience, while enjoyable, was nothing like they advertise it to be. I bought these tickets specifically because I wanted to see Nashville from the river. The brochure shows the skyline behind the boat and mentions the "spectacular view." In reality you go away from Nashville and see nothing but rocks, dead trees and back +porches of people's homes. I would not have paid the $166 to go on this cruise had I known where it actually took you.
Absolutely loved it, the buffet was delicious and the entertainment was fantastic. Well worth your time, and pretty reasonable. While we were coming back we saw a bald eagle flying along the boat. It landed on a tree and then flew off again. What a thrill to see.
This is a great way to enjoy some good music, a scenic boat tour, some good drinks, and food is served family style. You get to sit at a table with some other people if your group is not big enough. Both times we have gone we have been seated with some great people. Show was awesome and they do make regular changes. Food was pretty good too, and if you want more just ask and they bring it out. No extra charges for more food. Drinks are a little bit higher for the first one, but are lower for each drink after that. This is because you get a souvenir glass. They are pretty nice too.
First time on the General Jackson. The show was nice, and the salad was good. Why 3 stars? Dinner was not great, you had to buy anything other than water (soda included) and we kept wanting to go to the deck to look at the water, but each time we did there would be 100 people out there smoking and it was nasty. Won't be going back but glad I went once in my life.
