DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH TWO MEN AND A TRUCK! After my staircase, front door, and new refrigerator accrued damage when I had furniture moved into my house 2 weekends ago, I have had to deal with a bunch of ridiculousness in the process of trying to get everything fixed! The contract says that if damage can not be repaired they will either replace or compensate (Actual Cash Value) for the damage. What I have learned is that the industry standard is to compensate $0.60 per pound of damaged equipment. So even though it would cost me $516 to replace the damaged panel on my refrigerator, they want to compensate me $180 at .60x 300lbs (their estimated weight of my refrigerator). They estimate my door to weigh 150lbs (???- no idea where they got that). So they only wanted to reimburse me $90! It will cost me $217 just to buy the door not including delivery or installation! Not to mention it is painted red and I paid to have a peephole installed. I spoke with someone named Chris at Two Men and a Truck after a frustrating email communication with Korey. It was like talking to a brick wall with Chris, and he was no help at all. To say the very least this is not over, but I wanted to make sure that everyone knows the risk they are taking if they choose to do business with Two Men and a Truck! If they damage anything, you better hope it is REALLY HEAVY!
Rufus and Charles moved my things on 12/7. They were professional and did a wonderful job. The price was fair and they took the appropriate amount of time. I would definitely use this company again!
When I was on the phone scheduling this appointment to move, the man on the phone told me that the total was $35 with tax included. I said "that does not sound correct, how does that even cover the cost for gas? You're telling me that this costs THIRTY FIVE DOLLARS (multiple times)?" He continued to tell me yes ma'am, even though I relayed the message that it was my understanding this total was $35, and he continued to agree. When he took my card number down, I asked him if they were going to charge me, and he said "no ma'am, we will only charge you when you confirm your service." No one said ANYTHING about a cancellation fee. I let them know 48 hours in advance that I needed to cancel, which is their policy, and they wanted to charge me a 1 hour fee plus a percentage of the total cost (which ended up being $3,316.00 -- a LOT different than the $35 he confirmed over the phone). I called them and shared my concern about this, and they took off the percentage charge, but continued to charge me $150 for the cancellation. They are just trying to take your money by not communicating the prices and their policies. I would not recommend them to ANYONE.
This service is terrible! THEY HAVE HIDDEN FEES THAT THEY DO NOT TELL YOU ABOUT. Make sure they tell you EVERY cost associated with the move, cancellation, etc.
I hired Two Men and a Truck for my most recent move, as I have always been happy with their service when I used them in the past. AJ and Corey were an absolute pleasure to work with and went above and beyond to make sure that my furniture arrived safely. They made what would be an otherwise stressful move a seamless and worry-free one. I would highly recommend the company to my friends and family, and I will certainly use Two Men and a Truck for my future moves.
Sooooo very thankful! I cannot express my gratitude enough to Ben Bowling and Charles Black of TWO MEN AND A TRUCK!!!!! Ben and Charles my my my....these fellas were kind, hospitable, careful with my belongings and WORKED THEIR BUTTS OFF! They did not complain and were very professional. The cost to move was worth every single penny. I was able to exhale and relax my worries after meeting these guys. I knew we were in good hands. I have never used a moving company, however have heard many horror stories about the moving experiences so my anxiety was high. When I posted on Facebook asking for recommendations, Two Men and A Truck was mentioned so many times. I will be highly recommending Ben and Charles to people who are planning to move. I am still talking about these guys!
