I've moved three times in Nashville using 6th man movers and Bellhops and never had anything broken. But this time I went with with Green Moving and I won't be using them again. They didn't seem to care if things were broken or mishandled, they just got it from point A to B. I don't recommend using them unless you just need a few large, nonbreakable things moved.
I'm a bit disappointed in the process, but I understand their goal is point A to B in a small amount of time, but I would have preferred to pay for more time knowing they cared about keeping my stuff safe too.
A box with all my other important collectibles was a plastic tub that was broken in many places and a few items inside were broken as well. Once again, it was clearly marked for extra care.
I have collectible teapots that my mom gave me and one of the super collectible ones, which was wrapped in many layers and tucked into a clearly marked box, was broken in half.
One of the movers broke the legs (yes 2) off of our office desk by not lifting it properly. The front door frame was damaged because it was not protected nor was the furniture carefully moved through it. Once our upright piano was moved onto the truck one of the men took it upon himself to lift the lid and begin playing it on the truck without our permission. He secured the piano with ropes and upon its' arrival to it's location the finish was all scratched up and in many places on the front completely rubbed raw.
Our experience may have been rare and, again, two of the men were absolutely incredible to work with....but overall we wish we felt that The Green Truck Moving Co. appreciated our business more than they did. We won't book with them again.
The gentlemen from The Green Truck Moving & Storage who moved me today were absolutely fantastic. They arrived before 7:30am and finished my move at 10:00am handling my belongings with care, even my very heavy gym size elliptical machine. I was hoping to have it all complete within 3 hours and they exceed my expectations. I had enjoyable conversations with each of the gentlemen who were all polite and friendly. I will definitely recommend your services to others. Thank you again for a pleasant moving experience.
The only furniture that was damaged were our nicer pieces. I understand they are the heavier ones, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't be protected and cared for as well.
Our move went well overall. However the boxes marked and covered with "fragile" and "handle with care" were the ones to suffer the most damage. The boxes themselves were torn and the items inside were destroyed.
After carefully reading reviews on many companies, asking friends from their experiences and seeing that the Green Truck had a great track record with online reviews I booked them for our move. I wish I could say that our experience was as good as others.
Everything went well. Late arrival of an hour is only reason not a 5 star. But never schedule a move out on the last day you need to be out with any company.
We had a rather large move that required two trucks and two households. We had five men working that day. Two of them were highly professional, worked diligently and showed care in moving our belongings. The other three men were younger, standing around goofing off, accepting calls on their phones and making jokes with my mom instead of working. I don't mind polite and personal interaction, all of the guys were very nice but we felt they could have put their time towards what they were being paid to do.
My wife and I recently used Green Truck for our move to a larger home. Tony and his team of three other movers were efficient, professional, and made the entire process less stressful. They gave a one-hour arrival window, were on-time and started immediately. This crew wasted no time getting started and were always moving from one piece of furniture to the next without delay. We provided lunch because of the hot weather and each crew member was appreciative and thanked us over and over. If we move again, Green Truck will be our first call.
Horrible Customer Service/Unprofessional Experience/Damages
In the end they tried to overcharge me for the bill. I had to fight them for the contractual price agreed upon. They admitted their mistake. However, they would not reimburse for the damages since they had "adjusted my contract price". (Even though admittedly it was their error that the contract had to be adjusted!!!) I had to fight them to get the damages addressed. In the end we received $104 towards the purchase of a new desk. Not enough to replace it by any means.
