I used Geny Insurance on a commercial vehicle policy from approximately September 2015 until April 2017. Nathan was the agent that I dealt with and found him to be extremely knowledgeable about the livery/limo business and its detailed insurance needs. I felt so comfortable that I bought a policy through Geny's which was underwritten by Progressive Insurance. Whenever I needed to add or remove a driver from the policy, I contacted Progressive directly because their call center has longer hours and there is someone who is always available. When the business was no longer profitable for me, I contacted Progressive again and asked them to cancel the policy. I was not told at the time that I still owed any additional money and thought that everything was squared away. That was until I received a phone call in May from a collection agency stating that I owed Progressive $290 for a remaining balance. I contacted Nathan at Geny to find out what was going on and he said he would get back to me. I followed up again a week later and he told me I should contact Progressive. I called Progressive and they said they had sent me a bill (not sure if it got lost in the mail but I never received it) but that I would need to pay the amount with the collection agency. I immediately settled the unpaid balance with the collection agency. I was furious that I had no communication (phone call, email, letter) from either Progressive or Geny Insurance that I still owed a balance, and the first communication I received was from a collection agency. I take my personal and business credit very seriously and this lack of communication could have been something that could have remained a bad mark on my record for at least 7 years.
I've been with Geny for more than 15 years and have had good experience. Recently, Alexis took over as agent for my car, home, RV and motorcycle insurance. I asked her to look over all my policies to see if we could benefit from any changes. I just got a call that she looked it all over and found that putting all our policies with a particular carrie that she felt was the best would save me $1400 a year! She did not need any additional prompting from me. She got it done in a good time frame. I feel great about her service. :)
Nathan is arrogant condescending and rude. Not worth doing business with unless you have no for need quality customer service. Save your money and patronize a business that will give you the dignity and respect you deserve
I've dealt with Tracy Lomax and Geny Insurance for over ten years and with several different companies. I've used them for our commercial and personal policies. Tracy and his team are attentive and knowledgeable. I wouldn't trust our home and businesses to anyone else!
