He insisted that he could not wait, but could only reschedule 5 days down the road.
We came to Safelite to get a very small ding (smaller than the top of a pen head) repaired in our windshield. They wanted to charge $120 for the repair; flat rate didn’t matter how small or large the crack/ding. I wasn’t sure if my insurance would cover the repair or not and they didn’t offer to help file a claim. This seemed extremely over priced to me, so we called around town and found a much better deal ($40) and much better service at Jack Morris Auto Glass. The whole process at Jack Morris took less than 15 minutes. I wouldn’t recommend Safelite; do your research and don’t over pay for routine repairs like filling a ding in your windshield.
Edit.. almost 10 weeks since the windshield was replaced and the repairs were finally made on the appointment today. The technician, Kenneth, was friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. If it was possible I'd give him 5 stars, but give the experience 0.
And not 5 minutes after he left the rain stopped and its been sunny ever since.
Talk about great service! On time, quality work. Came to my house and did the job in less than an hour. The tech was very friendly. I would recommend Safelite to friends and family.
The tech called me around noon to tell me he would arrive between 1pm and 3pm.
This establishment might have a catchy jingle but their customer service SUCKS.
It's now two months after my window was replaced. Part of the window frame flew off driving down the road from picking up the car where it was broke during the window install. I've had 4 appointments scheduled now since then where I've arrived on time only to be turned away because of (insert random excuse here). My car window still isn't fixed and it's continued to break. I'm still dealing with trying to get them to repair the frame/siding to my windshield, two months later and still counting...
This IS 2017 and we have weather radars at our fingertips, so I told him that it would be passing over quickly.
Cannot speak highly enough of my technician, Kenneth. He was extremely friendly and professional. He walked me through the process, and completed the project in no time at all. You can't even see the crack anymore. He also went above and beyond, vacuuming out the car, wiping down the windows, and he even fixed the mirror on my passenger's side that had come lose. I could never find the right screws to replace the ones that were lost and it had become a constant frustration when the mirror would randomly come lose while driving. Thanks to Kenneth it's now secure and there are no more surprises while driving over a bump! Thank you so much!
