Checked online and also confirmed that a stove range that we wanted was in stock at this store. Drove 20+ minutes in the rain and traffic only to be told by the guy at the appliance department that they did not have the stove range I wanted. He said there was some kind of "corporate issue" with the item in the system and that it was not available. Did not bother to go back and check. The prices for many of the same appliances available at the Mt. Juliet Lowes were way more expensive at this store for some reason.
The net of this is, Lowe's is a great company and I will continue to shop there. But, I will avoid the appliance department at this location at all costs.
I decided to leave the items I waned to purchase there on the counter. Light bulbs, shower heads, batteries, a couple of red bulls... and the three-year extended warranty that went along with the new refridgerator I was about to purchase. I guess I'll go to The Home Depot.
Went into store at 8:30pm to purchase two appliances since Black Friday sale was going away the next day. Not one person came to help with my purchase except at 9pm after the announcement for us to leave a staff person yelled from a couple of rows over to leave the store since they are closing. I told the person monitoring the door as we left that the staff was very rude and had lost a sale of two appliances I was purchasing for my wife for Christmas. I will purchase from Home Depot that has the same models at the same price but does not have the muliple appliance discount of $50. I will happily spend $50 over rude customer service.
We called four times to inquire about a product and never got a person on the phone. Then we made the eight mile round trip to find out they didn't carry the product we wanted. We asked the girl at the customer service desk if we could order it. She said sure, then referred to a guy who told us to order it online. The only reason they get two stars is because the guy from the lightning department tried to be helpful and the three guys hanging out by the forklift were nice on our way out. I'm seriously considering calling my friends in North Wilkesboro (ie corporate) about this store.
My wife and I purchased new Samsung appliances from Lowe's over Memorial Day. We love the appliances, the price was fair and a great financing option was available at the time. The overall experience from the employees was hit and miss. Bob was very helpful and tried to get us our first choice models even when he wasn't able to (borderline false advertising by Lowe's). Karen, the appliance manager? (not sure that's her role) was very combative and basically rude. She is the sole reason this is not a 5 star review. Luckily for Lowe's their other employees were fantastic. The delivery guys were great even though they damaged the refrigerator getting it into the house and accidentally threw away the kick plate for the dishwasher. I called Amanda in the receiving/shipping Dept right after the damage occurred and she was amazing. We worked out a deal on the damaged refrigerator so we didn't have to wait another month for a new one. She even arranged for me to get the kick plate off of a display dishwasher to replace the one that was accidentally thrown away. It turns out that the kick plate they gave us was not for our specific model. Once we discovered that I went back in to fix the issue and I was directed towards Karen. She was rude about the whole situation basically saying I was wrong about it not fitting and she had ordered many before and they were all the same. She made it seem like a chore to order the new kick plate. The day the new kick plate came in I picked it up from, you guessed it, Karen. She was as unpleasant as usual. The new kick plate was actually a little longer and not identical to the previous one given to me. It fit perfectly and in the end my wife is happy, so I'm happy.
I stood waiting for probably five minutes or so at customer service. The gal behind the counter was working with a customer on the phone--no big deal. However, not once did she acknowledge me, say she'd be right with me, nothing. At the register next to her (still at customer service) were three male employees. They were laughing and goofing around. I waited another minute or so...nothing.
