I love Hillsboro Hardware! I have been going here for years for odds and ends for minor house repairs. The guys who work here are always polite, friendly and helpful. I love supporting this small business instead of going to the big box home improvement store.
The ad slogan for this place ought to be, "No question is too dumb." They are patient, very knowledgeable and comforting to those like me who are not mechanically inclined. Maybe some items are cheaper at Home Depot but the personal service you get here is unbeatable.
Typical old neighborhood hardware store & I appreciate it. I'll usually call up before I come to see if they've got what I need and they always go and check to confirm. Prices are just a little more than the big box stores but I'm ok with supporting these guys. I've always had a great experience walking in the door. They'll offer to come to help you, but also leave me alone to look. I appreciate not being waited on hand in foot in a hardware store so I can think through my projects and these guys strike a good balance.
Nice neighborhood hardware store. I'm sure the bigger stores might have bigger prices but their location is very convenient and the people who work there are very friendly and knowledgeable. They also duplicate keys!
