When I called to ask about the bleeding I could tell they were uncomfortable but instead of telling us to go to the ER, they assured us that she should just relax and let her body do it's job.
Two months ago I called to schedule my annual for the month of may. They called me 5 days before my appointment to change the day. I had organized my work schedule to be off for this appointment. My work schedule is made far in advance and I can't just change my schedule at the drop of a hat. Then they're too busy to take my call when I call back. I will never recommend them to anyone from now on.
I have heard wonderful things about their program, but personally had a horrible experience.
Awesome! We were the Vanderbilt midwives for our last baby, and they were awesome! Great staff, very supportive, patient first treatment.
We finally went to the ER because we didn't feel like waiting it out any longer and found out there was no heartbeat. The ER doctor was incredibly sweet and was very compassionate.
I have worked with many different practitioners through multiple moves and seven children and these midwives have been the best! They listened to me, trusted me to know my body, and worked with me to get the best outcomes, both in labor and delivery and in trying to rebalance my hormones afterwards. These ladies truly rock!
Years ago we chose to use the Vanderbilt Midwives. At 12 weeks we experienced a miscarriage. The midwives were terribly unprepared to help us deal with it.
Maybe they are fine if everything goes according to plan, but not when things go wrong.
The next day I called the midwife again to tell her and she told me she had been worried about that when the bleeding started. She wasn't helpful in identifying the issue, giving us advice or consoling us. There was no follow up, that was the last time we heard from them.
