A great way to travel in the area. I just wish it ran more frequently
The train station at Donelson has ample parking, but there's not much shade from the sun. If it rains there are two waiting sheds for you to find shelter.
Gets you downtown. Wish it ran more. Increasing population density will help ridership.
It costs $2 from Donelson to the Riverfront station. If you regularly take the train, I'd recommend buying a 10-ride ticket at Kroger McGavock Pike or at the Riverfront Station. The Music City Star train itself is pretty nice. You can put a bike in the wheel chair section of the train.
I've done the math, and the only benefit for me to use the Music City Star, would be to save a little on gas. Time wise, it is around the same time if I drive downtown. If they increase the amount of times the train runs, and build more stations it would be worth it. Until then, I'll be driving.
