Strongly advise not to use their after hours book drop. I was charged replacement cost for an audio CD which I later found on their shelves. Bar code confirmed it was the same one.

I think the Thompson Lane Librarians do a fantastic job with limited resources serving a growing and diverse community. Why does Green Hills have such a lovely large library and Thompson lane such a tiny one? I"m sure it's a complex equation, but nonetheless, this little library is a jewel in our community. Many teens need a place to go after school and sadly librarians have to spend part of their time educating students on library etiquette, helping the under served learn how to use computers and offering entertainment, hope and education in a place that needs and deserves a much larger and better funded facility.
All the staff are helpful and friendly. Plus I LOVE the building. Very mid-century!
I've ordered many books through the Nashville Library's excellent online system that have arrived at Thompson Lane, enjoyed the Tennessean and other periodicals there and witnessed the librarians doing their best to assist a diverse and and at times, challenging population. Kudos to the Thompson Lane Library Staff, who along with the nearby Coleman Center are community heroes!
