I hope it is not for a very long time, but when I lose my other pets, I know I will only bring them here.
But that night, I felt at peace, knowing I had him back with me, and that I had closure. Had I not seen his face, I might have entered denial, and believed he was still out there.
These people are so very kind and cooperative. The very kind of people you need when you are facing the devastation of losing a pet.
When I saw a couple negative reviews, I became weary and I called another place that seemed local. However, the address was wrong and it was all the way in Columbia. The lady was very nice, but it would be $190, with complimentary pickup. I decided to call Justin.
As awful, gut wrenching and pain staking as the whole experience of losing my cat was, the kindness and compassion I felt from Justin really helped me along. He was curteous, professional, swift, empathetic. I had no experience in cremating a pet, so I had no idea what to expect. But he made the experience quick and easy. Never once did I not feel like I was handling the remains of a member of my family. Because Sully was treated as such. Justin even went the extra mile and fulfilled special requests of mine. And now I will have things to memorialize him forever.
I didn't imagine myself having any peace over the situation as I was full of grief and guilt.
My cat, Sullivan got outside, and after 3 days of looking for him, I came home and found that he had been hit by a car outside my home on Sunday, December 20th, 2015.
Not having a permanent place to bury him, I decided to have him cremated.
I can't thank this establishment, or Justin enough.
Bottom line, my family lost a very dear pet. We brought him in on a Friday, and were told we'd have him back by the following Tuesday at the latest. Tuesday rolled around and we heard nothing from them, and couldn't even get in touch with them until A WEEK later. Please do not bring a pet/loved one here. They're helpful with about one thing, and that would be making your grieving even harder. I'm disgusted with the help I received after paying $125.00 for a 5 pound animal. Which by the way, did I mention they don't even provide a complimentary urn. They give your loved one back to you in a cardboard box. SAD. Spare yourself the heartache.
Justin greeted me when I called, and remembered speaking to my friend. His voice was kind. I asked if I should bring him in soon and he urged me to do so. I also asked about seeing him one last time to say goodbye, and he told me he could place the body on a table and cover him nicely so I could have a final moment with him. He also told me he would be cremated privately.
I called this company to take care of my dog after her passing. I was told that their furnace was down and that they were waiting on a part for it, but that it should be no longer than a week for the cremation to take place. I was hesitant, but said that would be fine since they assured me that my dog would be in a climate controlled environment during the wait. First the good...they arrived at the vets office to pick up my dog when they said they would. Now the bad...after a week, I called to find out if they had completed the cremation. I was told that their furnace still was not operational, but that they hoped to have it running in the next 2 days. Another week passed and I had not heard from anyone. The day I was going to call them, I received a message that my dog was ready to be picked up. I arrived to pick her up and the people there just kind of stared at me and showed no empathy, sympathy at all. During all of my contact with them, I did not get any signs of understanding or sympathy, which I would expect based upon the business they are in. So while, they did what they said, they were unsympathetic and did not communicate with me about the delays.
I was a mess, and luckily my friend was with me to help wrap his body in a blanket and place him in a bag. She found this establishment and called and spoke to a man named Justin who told her I could bring him in first thing the next day and disclosed the pricing would be $135.
My small parrot died suddenly after being a member of our family for 15 years. He was my first "child" and such a joy; full of life and personality! It was a shock that he died before his estimated life span, but Jeff's response was quick to my initial request and very helpful. I have never had a pet cremated before, but Jeff and the staff at Nashville Pet Crematory made the situation easier than expected. My parrot's cremains were nicely presented in a beautiful wooden, carved box and placed inside a velvet bag. We have one pet alive and hopefully we will have him for quite a few more years. However when his time comes to pass on and we decide to have him cremated, we will be calling Nashville Pet Crematory.
