What a pain in the ass!
What the heck is up with closing at 4:30? Because we all know that being government workers, "closed" at 4:30 means "unable to assist the public after 3:45 or 4:00."
I, like many of us I imagine, work regular business hours from 8-5, so even leaving work an hour early still wouldn't get me here in time to file paperwork... even if Nashville traffic wasn't a nightmare. The traffic makes it practically impossible to reasonably try and make it a morning errand, either.
I get it - they have limited payroll and can only be open so many hours a day.... but I can't even fathom why the only mechanism we have to access the judicial system can't even manage regular business/banking hours.
And while I'm complaining... parking for 12 minutes? Just long enough to be told at 4:20 that they're already gone for the day?
I did give them the second star because the officers working security up front are always exceptionally friendly when they tell me that I've missed the filing window. They're pretty cool!
That'll be $2.00.
