this airport is great for people who don't normally fly by them self's. all in all this is an awesome airport!

I am writing this in response to the ‘Local Guides’ who don’t appear to fly often. BNA is a fantastic airport to fly into and out of. Security is very fast with less than 15-minute wait times. The rental car facility is walking distance from the terminal as well as a reasonable amount of parking space. With the exception of Concourse A which Is currently being re-modeled, the terminal is well laid out with ample room in the gate areas to stage a full flight without having people waiting in the main walkway. Baggage claim is very fast compared to other airports. If you want a fast and efficient airport to get into and out of, BNA is tough to beat. If you want 5-Star dining or art work, perhaps you should try a 5-Star restaurant or art gallery rather than an airport.

Update*** I am now 17 and its still one of my favorite airports to fly into

Convent off interstate I-40 . I flew Southwest airlines round trip Nashville to Chicago then Detroit. Everything went just as I expected. No complaints and no problems. Happy camper.

This is by far one of the best and most efficient airports in the country. Security checkins are relatively quick and hassle free. Lots of flights to many major cities offered as well. Only weakness is the fact that no international flights are offered which is about to change in May 2018 with the addition of a direct flight to Heathrow airport. However, with Nashville blossoming into the Hub city in the past five years additional international flights to more cities should be added as well as a dedicated terminal for international travel. This is costly for the city's budget but is expected to be a good invested for the future growth of Nashville.

I imagine this is an easy airport to fly in/out of if you live here and want to get in and out quickly. Security was easy. Layout is definitely antiquated however and food options are not great. If you are traveling with kids it’s a pain in the ass - WiFi stinks and there are no play areas. Nashville deserves a better airport. Comparable cities, like Austin, have better facilities. Even BHM is better.

One of my favorite airports because im only 14 and i am not aloud to (by my parents/grandparent) switch planes unless i am with them even though i mostly lead them to the plane so with this airport and DTW i can fly there and back this airport has a regional feel to it because its not as big as most airports that are part of the international community. it has some great fast food chains within it like Wendy's which is in side the terminal as you walk in and there is also a sit in dinner there with a 50's theme to it.
